John J. Kroutch, Sr.

John J. Kroutch, Sr., 90, formerly of Exeter Twp., PA, passed away on Monday, April 21, 2025 at the Phoebe Berks Health Care Center. Born in Mt. Carmel, PA, he was the son of the late Enoch and the late Gertrude (Scheuren) Kroutch. He was the widower of Matilda (Kubitskie) Kroutch.

John served our country in the U.S. Army. He later worked for Interstate Container as a traffic manager. John loved bowling and golf. He was also an avid Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles fan. He was a member of Immaculate Conception BVM RC Church.

John is survived by his son: John J. Kroutch, Jr., husband of Debra of Pottstown, PA; 2 daughters: Bonnie Kerr, wife of Paul of Loja, Ecuador and Beverly Abbonizio of Kona, HI; 2 brothers: George and Jim Kroutch; brother-in-law: Henry Zuech; 10 grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his sister: Mary Zuech; and brother: Enoch Kroutch, Jr.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, April 24, 2025 at 11:00AM at Immaculate Conception BVM RC Church, 905 Chestnut St. Douglassville, PA 19518. A viewing will be from 10:00AM to 11:00AM at the church prior to Mass. Burial will be in the church cemetery. A reception will follow the burial.
